Rare, Threatened, and Endangered Species Study ServicesSER will initiate a Natural Heritage Database search for records of rare, threatened, and endangered species occurrences on or near your property. We will then compile a list of recorded information and comment on the likelihood of the presence of these species on the subject property based on literature and a site visit.Pre field-visit procedures we use include gathering as much habitat and morphological information as is available on the rare, threatened and endangered species found via the Natural Heritage Database searc results. We use such sources as scientific articles and herbarium specimens. We will visit your site and survey the area for the presence of rare, threatened, and endangered species. We will also evaluate the habitat for the possibility that such species could occur on your property. We will then compile our findings in a rare, threatened and endangered species report, including information about habitat areas that we recommend being avoided, that can be used for such purposes as incorporation into an Environmental Assessment Worksheet. Our thoroughness and attention to detail has allowed our clients to rapidly gain project approval from such government agencies as the U.S. Forest Service.
Please see either of the following case studies for an example of our rare, threatened
and endangered species study work:
